20 week appointment update

Yesterday, El and I had our 20 week appt. (not to be confused with apt.) with Dr. Cacchio. We had another ultrasound which was really fun. Dr. Cacchio confirmed Sophia is a girl, she weighs 12 ounces, her head is average size, spine looks good, no sign up cleft lip, heart beat was 129 and everything else looked great. I was told that my weight gain was right on track which made me feel better about gaining weight. Dr. Cacchio asked if I had a pixie stick for breakfast because Sophia wouldn't stop moving, she was very active. I told the doctor that she is always that active. It's been alot of fun these past two weeks because I've been able to feel Sophia move and kick. Elliott has also felt her movements when he puts his hand on my stomach. Sunday night, Elliott had to work until after 2 a.m., when he got home she started to move around until after 3 a.m. I told him she's already a daddy's girl. :) Here's a profile picture from the ultrasound, it's the best one we could get since Sophia kept moving:

After we left the doctor's office, El said he likes the ultrasounds, however, they don't compare to the 3D/4D ones. We're planning on setting up another time to get another ultrasound in 3D/4D between 32-36 weeks.

19 weeks....and the bump has popped...

I'm just over 19 weeks (19 weeks and 3 days to be exact) and my stomach has def popped out. My sister described it tonight as "you're not huge....your stomach just popped." It's alot bigger than 2 weeks ago, however, as long as our little Sophie is healthy, that's all that matters to me.

I started getting pains in my lower stomach and right side last week. Some have been super painful, however, I called my doctor and she said it's normal and it's ligament pain due to the ligaments that support the uterus stretching.

The dogs have been acting very needy recently. Meatball has been laying his head on my stomach, I wonder if he can hear her heartbeat.

I made Sophia her first tutu and matching headband. I think they both turned out really well.

Our next apt. is on Monday so I'll post an update then.

What will Sophia look like...

So I decided to look at some old baby pictures of El and I to see what baby Sophia might look like and thought I'd share our photos for all to see. El and I don't really like our photos and hope that Sophia will be cuter....and hopefully have some hair. I plan to start buying hats and headbands as it looks like she'll be bald. :)

Elliott and I both at 6 weeks:

We have a name....

After alot of thought, and several names we think we've found the one....Sophia! We both love the name. Now, we are trying to decide on a middle name. We like Grace, Ann, Reece and Eve but haven't decide on one yet. My aunt bought Sophia her first monogrammed item, a onesie which is super cute.

This week we had another apt. and met our new doctor, Dr. Cacchio. We saw her on "One Born Every Minute" the week before our apt. and loved how positive she was during the delivery. Once we met her, we loved her. She was so nice and answered all of our questions. She was soo excited for us. I told her about our 3D/4D apt. where they said the baby was measuring at 15.5 weeks when I was just 14 and she said she won't change my due date, however, at my next apt. on March 28 she'll do an ultrasound and we'll see how big the baby is. She said we might just have a big baby. Since I was over 7 pounds and El was 11, i'm hoping for a 9 pounder. :)

Here's a stomach picture at 17 weeks:
