16 weeks...

Seriously, how is my little baby already 16 weeks? I cannot believe it. Time goes by soo fast. Not just the weeks but even the days. I feel like the days we get to spend together on the weekend are a blur because they go by so fast. This past week was a fun week, maybe because it was a short work week, but also because my mom was still in town, my dad came back to Columbus, Thanksgiving and we saw El's family. It was a great week/weekend.

Soph's 16 week photos:

After being in her bumbo for about 10 - 15 mins she tries to get out of it lol:

She loves playing:

During her photo shoot she decided she'd prefer to play with the blocks. I love that she's wanting to look and touch everything.

Almost sitting up on her own:

My little gummy bear has had a cold this past week. El took her to the pediatrician this morning and they said its just a bad cough. I was mad that they couldn't help her but relieved that she's ok. We bought some Vicks Vapor Rub for babies and have been trying that along with her mattress elevated, the Vicks plug-ins, Vicks body wash and her humidifier lol.

Although she has a cold she's still all smiles:

El showed Sophia his fish tank and she loved looking at the fish. He cannot wait until she's older and can have her own fish tank.

We went to Cinci on Friday to visit El's family. While we were there Matt, Anne, Jaden and Jillian came to see us. Here's Matt and Anne with Sophia:

Sophia has been trying to hold her own bottle:

She looks soo grown up in her sweater and jeans (which are 6 months and snug):

I went through all of Soph's clothes this weekend and put away all the 3 month and 3-6 months. I think she'll only be in 6 months for a week or so longer. I've been buying and washing all her 9 month clothes. I cannot believe my almost-four-month old baby will be wearing 9 months lol. Today at her appt. she weighed in at 15 pounds 14 ozs. She did have all her clothes on though.

Soo thankful

This year we are especially thankful for many things. First is Sophia. After praying for a blessing, we finally received Sophia almost 4 months ago. We're also thankful for great family and friends and the ability to spend soo much time with our family.

This year we actually spent Thanksgiving together as a family. Most years Elliott has to work, however, he told me when Sophia was born that he wouldn't miss any of her "first" holidays. We decided to stay in Columbus for Thanksgiving and went to my sisters. My parents also came along with Ricky's parents. We had a great time and ate alot of good food. The best part of Thanksgiving for me (since I'm super picky and not really a fan of the food) was seeing the kids all together. It was alot of fun.

15 weeks

I'm a little late but Sophia is now over 15 weeks old. She's getting soo big and developing a wonderful personality. We just love her to pieces. She's such a morning baby. Every morning she laughs and giggles. It's super cute and makes it hard to leave for work when she's awake if i'm still at home.

15 week pictures:

I know she's not 4 months old yet, however, I couldn't wait to put her in her jumper so we tried it this weekend and she LOVED it. My mom told us to put a blanket behind her to keep her from falling back and it worked. She's still a little too short lol:

Soph makes the funniest faces lol:

She's starting to like tummy time more and more each night:

I've been trying to feed her cereal off a spoon, this is the outcome:

Sophia had a big week. Her first cold which resulted in Elliott taking her to the pediatrician only for them to tell us they can't do anything. We tried acouple things, running the shower and steaming up the bathroom and taking her in and out of the bathroom (they told us to do that). We also bought a Vicks plug in and we plug it in every night along with her humidifier. We also bought Vicks baby wash for bath time. We think all of these are really helping her cold. She's doing alot better.

Soph also got another cousin this week and was baptised. We also finished our last week of Mommy and Me yoga. We're planning on signing up again in January.

Sophia's Baptism

Yesterday was Sophia's baptism. We were soo proud of her. She was such a good girl. When the pastor put the water on her head she didn't cry or make a sound. The whole time we were on stage she was really good. I think she liked looking at everyone. She's a people watcher like her momma.

It was hard trying to figure out what I'd dress Sophia in. Since we're Methodist you dont have to wear a white gown, instead you can pretty much wear whatever you want. So I decided to put her in a white dress with her favorite color, hot pink. :)

Soph and I before service started (I know we shouldn't have taken pics in church):

We are so thankful that our families could share this special day with us, especially my sister who just gave birth to Jaxon acouple days before and our family who drove from Cinci and Piqua. I don't know what we'd do without the support and love from our family. We truly are blessed with Sophia, great family and friends.

Jaxon Lee Beaty

My adorable nephew, Jaxon Lee Beaty was born last Thursday, November 17 at 6:14 a.m. He was 7 pounds 9 ozs and 21 inches. He is perfect!!
