Mom and Me Daisy Dash

This morning was the Mom and Me Daisy Dash. We had so much fun last year doing this race so we signed up again this year. It was SUPER hot this year (or maybe I'm just always hot) but it was a lot of fun. Soph has been prepping for the race and running around our house so she'll be "super fast." Haha! The race is at Easton right in front of the American Girl store which is a sponsor of the race. All the little girls bring their American Girl dolls so Soph wanted to bring hers this year.

These are out of order for some reason. Soph showing off her medal after the race:

 After the race:

On our way to the race - she wanted her doll to be in her seat belt, too!
She was extra thirsty after the race:

We agreed on getting one outfit for her doll before we went. She said she wanted to get her the cowgirl outfit since she has the horse. Once we got there - she decided she wanted the American Girl dog instead and a collar for her.
They had Ronald McDonald at the race:
And the Relay for Life mascot:

Here's a video of the race (I had to stop it because I had to run to the finish line to meet Soph):

Week Wrap Up

We had a great week. Soph had VBS this week, Sharon came to visit on Thursday and to help us with Soph. I had an R+F training event Thursday night and El had school so she watched Soph for us. During the day El, Soph and Sharon went for lunch at Bun's, Soph got pasta:
Soph and Grandma Sharon had a blast. They even had a tea party:
A big thanks to Sharon for coming and helping us with Soph.

One night this week, El was exhausted and after tucking Soph into bed, he apparently fell asleep himself. I went up to check on him and he was fast asleep:

Today we went to Lena's first birthday party. Soph had so much fun. How cute is Lena:

Vacation Bible School

This past week was our church's Vacation Bible School. I was soo excited that Soph was old enough to attend this year. As a little girl, this was one of my favorite weeks during the Summer so I was super excited for Soph to attend. She had a blast. Her cousins Addie and Jax also went all week so she loved seeing them there. I didn't get too many pictures as I only dropped Soph off once. A big thank you to my sister who dropped and picked Soph up on Monday and Tuesday because I had to work in the office and with El's schedule it would have been impossible.

Prego problems - 38 weeks

I put on this shirt (non-maternity) this week before bed and my stomach was hanging out - def having some prego problems. Soph kept trying to pull it over my big belly but it wouldn't budge.

I'm 38 weeks and went to the doctor this week to find out I went from 1-1.5 cm and 60% effaced last week to 2cm and 70% effaced this week. The good news is that I'm progressing. I'm hoping our baby boy will continue to cook for at least another week. If I haven't gone into labor, I will be getting induced on Monday, August 3, however, at my appt. next week I'm going to ask my doctor about getting induced on Monday, July 27 so its not as close to Soph's birthday party. Not sure why I thought it would be a good idea to plan her party so close to my due date haha!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. We started our day at the parade that's just down the street from our house. We met some friends there and Soph had a blast.

Trying to get a picture of all the kiddos - Jax didn't want to stand with the girls lol and Weston and Lena weren't there yet but we got some of the kiddos together:

Soph checking out her bag of candy she was collecting:
I told Soph and Jax I wanted a picture...Jax wasn't happy about it at first:
 And then he smiled:
Soph waving at the people in the parade:
Then we went to St. Mary's Lake for my grandpa's annual hog roast. Soph was excited to see her Poppy:
 And Nana:
Playing soccer with her cousin, Gabby

Cousins picture - Macy, Me and Soph and Gabby:
We had a great time at the lake. After we ate, we drove home because El had to work. Soph and I went to my friend, Tennielle's house to watch fireworks. She lives 5 minutes away and her husband put on an amazing show - I'm talking professional lol. Soph wasn't a fan though...she said they're "too loud."

Fireworks at home

Friday night we decided to stay home and make s'mores, do sparklers and watch fireworks.

El and Soph before making s'mores:

 It got smoky pretty fast:
 But they were good:

Then El showed Soph how to do the sparklers...but she didn't like them
She liked some of the other things we bought:

We could see some fireworks from our house:
 Watching fireworks:

Stepping on the rock fireworks (whatever they're called)

Red White and BOOM

On Saturday we decided to go to Red White and Boom right when it opened at Noon. They had a kids area and Soph had a blast.

Of course we stopped at the Cosi booth first:
Then we hit up the bounce houses:

Soph had so much fun in the giant ball:
 My little firecracker:
Then she tried to dunk a guy:
 Playing games:

Instead of riding a bull...they had shark rides. She loved it:
Of course she was excited about winning hand sanitizer lol:

 More jump house fun:

Then we went to lunch at Easton and Soph HAD to throw coins in the fountain:
