Another trip to the hospital

So this has been another interesting week. It started off shaky with everything with Misty. Then is started to look up when we found out our furniture was in. I was soo excited when it came on Friday. Now, we're just waiting on the changing table. El was sick all weekend so he hasn't put the crib together so I'm hoping he'll get to that this week. I can't wait to see it all put together. I worked on acouple things this weekend for Sophie's room and it's really coming together. I'll post pictures later this week.

Sunday around 3 p.m. I started feeling pressure in my lower stomach. I decided to ignore it and went over to Misty and Ricky's for a cookout. It continued for acouple more hours so Misty told me to start timing them. I had three in fifteen minutes so I decided to call my doctor. Dr. Cacchio said I should go straight to Labor & Delivery just to be checked out. She thought I was having contractions. Since this is my first time, I wasn't really sure what contractions felt like. So Misty and my mom took me straight to Riverside. They hooked me up to the monitor so we could hear Sophie's heart beat...which was good. While doing this they could tell I was having contractions. Since I'm only 29 weeks, they decided they should do an internal ultrasound, pelvic exam and a fetal fibronectin test to make sure my cervix was closed and to make sure I wasn't going into early labor. Luckily the tests came back negative and my cervix was closed. They gave me a shot to stop the contractions. After being there for several hours and being worried, they released me. They said I need to take it easy and drink lots of water these next couple months....and stay out of the sun.

El and I were both scared but this also made us realize we still have alot to do before our little Sophie comes so we're excited our showers are this weekend, then we plan to really get everything ready for her arrival.
