When the kids are away....the parents will play

As quoted by my sister, this past weekend "When the kids are away...the parents will play." That's right, we had a kid-free weekend thanks to our parents.

 

Friday night we went to dinner with friends and out for drinks. It was so nice to enjoy a dinner without eating 100 mph, running after Soph, worrying how loud Soph is and what kind of mess is being made. I love Sophia, but it was nice having a night out to relax.

 

 

Saturday night we went to Zoofari. We bought tickets for this months ago. Basically its a fundraiser and several (like hundreds) of restaurants are displayed throughout the zoo offering samples of their foods, in addition to mini bars everywhere offering beer, wine, martini's, ...you name it...they had it. From steak to ice cream....to donuts to pasta. It was a fat kids (or mine) dream. They also had several bands and entertainment. We plan on going back EVERY year. Such a fun event with friends and its for a great cause.

 

They had a fun photo booth which we all took advantage of. Here's Ricky in costume:
