8 months

As usual, I'm late in posting Sophia's 8 month update and pictures. This past month has been soo much fun. I know, I say that every month. :) Sophia has done so many new things since last month, she amazes me everyday.
Here's her weight since she's been born:

Birth - 7 pounds 8 ozs
one month - 11 pounds 8 ozs
two months - 13 pounds 5 ozs
three months - 14 pounds 5 ozs
four months - 16 pounds 6 ozs
five months - 19 pounds (this is by our scale)
six months - 18 pounds 6 ozs
seven months - 20 pounds (this is by our scale)
eight months - 21.5 pounds (this is by our scale)

Here's her 8 month photos:

She is obsessed with cell phones and the tv remote.

The pics are out of order but this was the last photo taken...can you tell:

She was over taking photos lol:

No more pics!

Since she's mobile...she doesn't sit still for pictures anymore lol:

 Clapping:
 Love her!!!
Clothes: she's still wearing 18 months and I'm shocked!! I think she'll be in them for acouple more months. She's still in size 3 diapers and size 1 swim diapers. We had acouple size 4 diapers from a diaper cake from my baby shower, so we used them and they fit her but they were Pampers. When we went to Costco yesterday to get her more diapers, we decided to keep her in size 3 because they still fit her and she is far from reaching the weight limit. I think Huggies run a little different than Pampers anyways.

Food: She's still eating 6 -7 ozs every time she gets a bottle (3 times a day). Her typical day is the same as last month. Breakfast consists of cereal with fruit, a late morning bottle, lunch which is a fruit and veggie, 1 bottle in the afternoon, then for dinner she eats fruits and veggies, then one last bottle around 7:30 before bed. She also gets mum mums, yougurt melts and puffs for snacks. We started her on stage 3 baby food and she's doing really well. I heard babies her age usually choke or dislike the food because its chunky but she loves it. She's had mashed potatoes and gravy, yogurt, bread, apple sauce, and mashed up fruit.

Sleep: she's still a really good sleeper. She still goes to bed between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and usually sleeps through the night until 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. She still takes a morning nap and a good afternoon nap (2-3 hours). The past couple of weeks she's been getting up at 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. I tell Elliott she gets up to play with him since he's getting home from work around then...but she's probably just teething. :)
Activities: She started crawling acouple weeks ago and has been on the move every since. If she isn't crawling...she's trying to stand. She no longer likes her Baby Einstein, she doesn't roll anymore either. She can wave (usually on her own terms - not on demand lol), stand while holding onto something, move her legs on her bike and pull herself onto things.
Talking: She still hasn't said mama or dadda yet, but she still says "yah" and "gee" and "mmm" after taking bites of food. It sounds like she says acouple letters including "o" and "i" but who knows. :) She is very vocal but doesn't say alot of words just yet. I asked her ENT specialist and he said she's still young and he's not worried about her.
Teeth: she hasn't gotten anymore since last month. She still has the bottom two.

Likes: putting everything in her mouth, eating, crawling, pulling her self up on things, riding her little bikes, waving, getting in Maya's dog bowls, bottled water, playing with her little table, swinging, walks, the remote, cell phones, spatulas, crawling into her storage containers, swimming. Like last month, I could go on forever. She is happy 95% of the time and the littlest things entertain her.

Dislikes: when we tell her "no," wearing socks, shoes, flower headbands or bibs and getting her diaper changed.

These past eight months have flown by. She'll be one before I know it. She is such a blessing and I enjoy and cherish everyday with her. :)
