Potty Training

Last Friday I decided we were going to try the three day method of potty training. Since I work from home, after Soph woke up from her nap and I had just returned from a meeting, I decided we were starting. So, I took Soph's diaper off and didn't put a new one on the rest of the day. We set out two potty chairs in our living room and let her run around w/o anything on. After each time she went potty on the potty chair we rewarded her with a sticker for her potty chart, 1 skittle and coins to put into her piggy bank. She LOVED it. She only peed once or twice Friday evening. Friday night we put a diaper on her for bedtime. Then, when she woke up Saturday morning we started again. She went several times and didn't have any accidents. We put her in a pull up for nap and bedtime. I got rid of the diapers and bought pull ups from here on out just for nap and bedtime.

 

Sunday I took Soph to the park which was the first time she went w/o a diaper outside of the house. She didn't have any accidents on the car ride there, during the park or the ride home. I rewarded her with ice cream from the ice cream truck:

Soph has done soo well this week with potty training. Yesterday, Sharon picked Soph up and drove her all the way to Cinci and she didn't have 1 accident. Then, today El met Sharon half way and Soph never had an accident....that's two hours w/o an accident in the car. We were REALLY impressed. :) So proud, yet sad that my little girl is growing up.
