This year we started a new tradition, Elf of the Shelf. First, you read the book to the child, then the child names her elf, then each night the elf visits Santa and tells him if the little girl or boy has been good, then the elf fly's back and does something silly and the child has to find their elf.

First night - Daisy was swinging from our light:
Soph LOVED seeing her elf and wanted to get her:
Night 2 - going to the bathroom on Soph's potty chair. Soph said "eww....Daisy pooped!" LOL! We used pepper grounds.
Night 3 - Taking a dive into Soph's cookie jar. Soph was NOT happy Daisy was eating her cookies.
Night 4 - Taking a marshmallow bath. Again, Soph wasn't happy Daisy had her marshmallows. Clearly Soph doesn't like to share.
Night 5 - Going on a cruise with her BFF Cinderella:
Night 6 - Trying out mommy's wedges:
Soph loves finding her elf every morning. After she finds her, we have to put her up, otherwise she'll touch Daisy and Daisy will lose her magic. I don't think Soph understands that part yet.
