First Day of School

Today was Sophia's first day of school. I have been sick/nervous/emotional for the past 24 hours leading up to her drop off. Before we took her I tried to snap acouple photos. After several tears and throwing a fit and getting a star crunch, I finally got acouple photos of her smiling. :)

She was excited all weekend to start school. Then when we walked in, we went to her classroom to drop off her things, then to the cafeteria to see all her classmates and to have lunch. Once we got to the cafeteria she got upset and wanted to leave. I think she was overwhelmed with all the kids. The teacher told us to walk back to the front and she'd calm her down. As soon as we walked away Soph was fine. I can't wait to hear how her first day went. :)

Birthday Party Fun

Yesterday was Soph's friends, Hannah and Hailee's third birthday party. Sophia had soo much fun! 

Soph climbed up every rock wall....El stood behind her in case she fell and she would say "No, daddy!" Miss Independent! 

I think her favorite part was the cupcakes:

 She was playing with her cousin Jaxon and said to me: "Jaxon is my best friend." It was SOO cute!

 I tried to get a picture with Soph and she said "No mommy!" I guess its starting already where she's embarrassed to be with her parents haha!

Somersaults

Baby brother...or new doggy?

One day last week Soph said "I want a baby brother" completely out of the blue. I had to get this on camera to show El proof that she does want a sibling haha. So of course when I asked her, at first she said she wanted a baby brother, then she said she wants a "Bracket" which is the name of her Uncle Jay's dog lol. 

Countdown to Disney

We're leaving for Disney on Tuesday and started a 30 day countdown acouple weeks ago to get Soph excited. It was perfect timing since her Elf on the Shelf went back to the North pole...she was asking about her and now has the rings to take off each morning for her countdown.

On the first day, she came downstairs to find the countdown, her new suit case and a new Minnie Mouse:

 Disney is great....we've received acouple different packages with different things which gets Soph really excited. One was this package with our magic bands:

This was the first thing we received from Disney...a book that said The Goff Family Vacation and listed out some of our plans for the trip: 

We're soo excited to take Soph to Disney for the first time. I hope she loves it!!

What have we been up to?

I've been trying to post on my blog for weeks but something wasn't working and I couldn't get my images to load. I can finally add images but I'm using FireFox which I'm not used to. Hopefully I can get this to work. :) 

So what have we been up to the past couple of weeks? Alot of staying at home, relaxing, staying out of the cold weather with acouple occasional trips out.

 Soph loves to finger paint...so we do this every couple of days. Finger painting always turns into Soph painting her whole body:

 El braved the cold one Friday and took Soph to Cosi. She was proudly sporting her "Cosi Member" sticker:

 Yesterday, after having a stressful day, we decided to run to Target for acouple things. Soph didn't take a nap and was a bear the entire trip. She was all over the cart...and ended on the bottom rack. After the day I had....anything went...including her laying down there.

 We went to Urbana acouple Sundays ago to celebrate my mom's birthday. I only took two photos (with my phone): Olivia, Mom and Soph:

 After having cabin fever one Friday night we took Soph to Chick-Fil-A...she had soo much fun with all the kids. She kept hugging the boys.We're in trouble hahah.

 Before soccer acouple weeks ago we went through the Culver's drive thru because we were running late. Soph said she wanted a hamburger. We've tried to give her one in the past when we've grilled out at home and she never wants anything to do with them. Since she specifically requested one...we ordered her one and she ate it...in the car lol! She ate about 1/4 of it which was pretty impressive to us.

 Elliott and I went out one Saturday night to celebrate Kush's 30th birthday. We had alot of fun. Thanks, mom for watching Soph. :)

 We've gone outside to play in the snow more times already this year than last year combined. Soph REALLY wanted to ride her new bike but it was too icy so she was practicing in the garage.

 This is actually from New Year's Eve....when the ball dropped Soph gave her daddy a midnight kiss. Soo sweet.

 She loves peanut butter and was eating it from the jar....we decided it'll be her jar of peanut butter from now on.

 She pushed the pillows by her high chair so she could climb into it on her own....then Maya got on top of the pillows to get food from Soph. Soph thought it was hilarious.

 One extremely cold day El decided to keep Soph indoors and brought the fun to our living room and blew up the bounce house. Soph thought it was soo cool to have it in the living room.

 She laid out her blanked in the kitchen and put her animals on it and brought them food and told me she was having a picnic.
