Glasses....

Back in the Spring when Soph had her kindergarten screening she also had her first eye exam and failed part of it. I didn't think much of it because I've never noticed her not being able to see. Plus, El and I have perfect vision. The nurse said to get her eyes tested and I kept saying I would but kept forgetting (I know, terrible mom here). So two weeks ago I received a call from the school nurse saying she tested her again and failed the exam again. The nurse said I needed to get her eyes checked ASAP! This made me super nervous. So, I made her an appt. But, for weeks (if not months) Sophia has been talking about her friend Hadley.  "Hadley is so awesome." "Hadley has so many husbands!" So I would ask why she's so awesome, why does she have so many husbands? Sophia's response: "because she has glasses!" Honestly this melted my heart. The fact that kids are soo mean these days, yet in kindergarten, having glasses doesn't matter. It's actually cool. I love it! Before Soph's eye exam my sister told me I should get Sophia some fake glasses. So we did. She LOVED them. Here's Soph wearing the glasses she picked out:

 She was soo excited to have glasses. Then, on Tuesday she had her eye exam and ....SHE PASSED. She didn't need glasses. I don't think she even cared because she already has glasses haha. But, since her appointment the excitement of her glasses has already worn off.
