Annual Hog Roast

Today was my grandpa's annual hog roast. Soph had a blast playing with her cousins, riding the golf cart, walking to the lake and eating yummy foods.

 

She especially loved her Uncle Buck.

 Jax and Soph loved the golf cart...when they weren't taking rides they were playing on it. I think the pictures below look like they're trying to figure out the keys to get it to start lol:

 Soph was exhausted by the time we got home tonight. After her bath she was ready to read a book with daddy....and Maya too and went to bed.

4th of July

We went to our friends house on the 4th for a cookout. The kids had so much fun playing together.

 Then we all went to the Alum Creek beach to watch the fireworks. Soph and El walking around the beach before they started:

 Then it started to rain before the fireworks started. Misty, Jax and Addie are under the left towel and Ashley, Joe and Meeka (their dog) are under the towel in the right lol!

 Then Soph put her blanket over her head to be like the rest of the gang lol:

 We saw some of the fireworks as we walked to our cars in the rain. We'll def go back next year as its super close to our house and a cool place to watch the fireworks. They also had fun stuff for the kids to do, a beer tent and food tents. We didn't make it to that section but will next year.

4th of July Parade

We took Soph to the Orange 4th of July parade. Before it started she was running with all the big kids:

Soph had a lot of fun and especially liked getting candy, a beach ball and crayons. We left before it ended because it started to rain pretty hard.

Fireworks

Wednesday night, July 3 our friends invited us over for a cookout and to watch the fireworks. Soph had soo much fun and we had the best view of the fireworks.

Soph kept yelling "boom." Although she was up WAY past her bedtime, I was glad she was able to stay up to see them for the first time.

Toddler Bed

Two weeks ago Soph started to climb out of her crib so El converted it to a toddler bed. We weren't sure how Soph would do in it but she loved it. She has also stayed in it (knock on wood) every night despite falling out of it acouple times the first night. We were really worried she'd get out of bed and try to come downstairs but she never gets out of it until the morning and she still stays in her room until we go in and get her. Hopefully this will continue. Such a big girl!

 Later that night Auntie Kushie and Daphne came over to visit. Daphne loved her toddler bed, too.

 She likes to play in her new bed outside of bed time. :)

We have her big stuffed dog under her bed in case she falls out again.

Weekend Wrap Up

Elliott went to Norris Lake this weekend so Soph and I went to Piqua for acouple days. Soph had soo much fun with her Nana and Poppy.

 Saturday Soph and I went to my friend Heather's bridal shower. Soph had so much fun and was pretty good until the very end. Then we went to Misty and Rick's for a cookout with some friends. All the kids had a dance party in their basement. The picture is dark but you can kind of see Jax, Soph, Ella, Hannah and Hailee dancing.

 Yesterday morning Soph still had on her pj's and then put on her favorite rain boots along with her derby hat and was pushing around two carts:

 Soph and I went to the park and lunch with the Beaty's on Sunday. Soph loves spending time with her cousins.
