All smiles

This past weekend Sophia was all smiles. She finally got over whatever she was going through ...having a fever for acouple straight days, being fussy and not herself. After taking her to the pediatrician and finding nothing wrong with her...we decided it must have been teething.

Soph is always crawling under the table:

While El and I went to the Crawl for Cancer on Saturday, Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Jim came to watch Sophia. As usual, she had soo much fun with them.

 Love my baby girl:
Soph loves Bentley and I think it's because 1. he's nice to her 2. he doesn't bark or growl at her like Maya and 3. because he likes to give kisses. :)

Soph trying to give Bentley a kiss:
Laughing after Bent gave her a kiss:
 She just loves him:
I love the weekends when I get to get Sophia up in the mornings. She's always soo happy:
Giving daddy a kiss...on his chest lol:

 And crawling behind the couch:

More teeth = more table food

Since Sophia has had acouple more teeth pop through...we've tried some new foods this week.

First, we tried some jello. Not really for taste...but more for the consistency. I thought she'd like it...and I thought she'd like feeding it to herself. I bought the sugar free strawberry and banana and she loved it.

First bite:

Couldn't get enough! She was licking it off her fingers lol:
 Such a big girl!!
Mac n cheese wasn't a new food for her but I took her pics anyways lol:
 She really likes feeding herself:
She was also upgraded from just puffs to "lil crunchies" which have more flavor.
 She also tried strawberries:
 Shocker...she loved them.
 And watermelon:
I don't think I have to put "she loved it" after any more photos. She hasn't found a food she doesn't like or won't eat. :)
Last month or the month before both myself and my mom gave Sophia mashed potatoes. I made mine with red potatoes, skim milk and fat free butter...just like I make them for El and I. My mom made hers with 2% milk and real butter and added gravy. Soph didn't dislike ours...but she made faces. She still ate them lol. Anyways, this week I bought Bob Evans mashed potatoes, you know, the kind that's already made and you just microwave. Well, Sophia loved them and couldn't get enough. I think its crazy because I never had instant potatoes until college. My mom always peeled, and mashed our potatoes...never made them from a box or microwaved them and here Sophia prefers them. I guess she wants to make my life easier. :)

Soph smiling after eating Bob Evan's mashed potatoes:
 She also tried grapes:
They were a little sour for her at first:
But then she was all smiles:
 She also tried raspberries:
And also had some blueberries and left over mac n cheese (which she's had before):

I love that Sophia isn't a picky eater like me and hope that'll continue. :)

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day to remember those who gave their lives to serve and defend our country and express our gratitude to them for the freedoms we now enjoy. It's also a day to grill out and spend time with family and friends. We took advantage of the nice weather and went to Misty and Ricky's for a cookout. El had to work which was a bummer but Soph and I had alot of fun.

Before we went to the cookout I took some pictures of Soph pre-nap. I know not everyone is into big flowers and headbands but I LOVE them!!

After Soph's nap she wasn't in the greatest mood and actually peed all over her super cute Memorial Day dress. Oh well.... we had a backup outfit. :)

Soph had soo much fun in Addie's pool:

And playing with all the big kids:

 Just standing in the pool:
Ella rocking her Memorial Day bathing suit:
I'm def getting Soph a water table. She loved it.

Klink and Kush (future babysitters) enjoyed a relaxing afternoon with a TON of kids lol!
She wasn't feeling the picture taking:

Soph likes to gives kisses and tried to give Jax acouple kisses, however, she head bunted him in the process. Poor Jax...on top of that, he was the only little boy at the cook out. One day he'll love it.

 Going in for another kiss:
 Soph loves her Uncle Ricky:

Crawl for Cancer

For the last several years Elliott and I have participated in the Crawl for Cancer. Last year was my first year not doing it because I was prego. It's soo much fun and its all for a great cause. This year didn't disappoint. Jim and Sharon came to watch Sophia and she had a blast as well. A big thanks to them for taking great care of her while we enjoyed a day out.

Team "Hot Mess"

El and I realized that I'm shrinking. I think I wear heels 90% of the time so when I had on flats...we were shocked at the height difference between us.

On top of it being the crawl, it was also Heather's birthday. Of course we had shots to celebrate. :)
